Young Mary was chosen by God Most High
“Be not afraid!” the Angel said
To bring you a Word you know not of
For you will conceive by the Holy Ghost
Mary said to the Angel, ‘How can this be?
The Angel said, “God will give you a son!
Mary no longer was filled with dread
He then took his leave
But the words rang out
“Blessed is she who believed”

To bring forth a Savior who was born to die
So to Mary the Angel went,
Bearing the message
That was Heaven sent
“You have Favor with God
And I’ve come in His stead
A prophecy to bring to Earth God’s Love!
And stand in awe with the Heavenly Host
A child will be born named Jesus the Son
He will be Great and His Kingdom will come!
I’m unmarried as yet and no man has known me.”
And He shall be called the “Holy One.
This child is a Gift that God will send
And of His Kingdom there shall be no end.”
“So be it to me as you have said”
She spoke to the angel
