Dear Lord, if you can spare the time
I come now with a plea
I know I’ve sometimes bent your ear
But this prayer is not for me.
It’s for a friend
You know her name
From many times before
And now it comes up once again
Please listen, Lord, once more.
Today we prayed together
She did not ask for much
But I am asking for her, Lord
Give her a special touch!
I bought her a gift from “Hallmark”
It was called the “Angel of Love”
Now I’m asking, Lord, for the Real Thing
Please send it from up above.
Please send your Angel filled with Hope
From far above this world
Embrace her in Your Loving Arms
She’s a very special girl.
