In the first light of the
Morning
I saw you
Like the first light
Of the dawn
You broke through my
Darkness
And shattered my
Countenance
Of pain
And sorrow.
It was your heart
That was revealed to me
First,
In the pages of your word.
Lightning bolts of love
Treasures of gold
Hidden deep in the
Scrolls and secret places
Of your word.
It came with such
Light
The light of a
Thousand dawns
Tearing down the
Walls
Between us.
When the wall fell
That is when I
Saw your face
Like the
First light.
Breaking gently,
Quietly,
It came through
The expanse of
Fear and pain
That was
Me.
Slowly, like summer rain,
Your countenance
Covered me
It was all about
Your love
Coming down.
The depth of it
I cannot measure
But the smile in
It,
I can know.
You felt like a single sparkle
Shining up
A glimmer of hope
Across dark waters
In You I
Saw a reflection
Of me
Kneeling before
The Presence
You Are.
