Beyond the Mask

Little children walk the street
Following after “trick or treat”
Doors will open everywhere
People will begin to share

Candy, fruit, each kind of “treat”
One never knows who one will meet
Beyond the mask of Halloween
There lies a truly different scene.

On the surface, innocence beams
But beyond the mask lie evil schemes
Vampires, Fear, Witches and Death
Whispering cats with drunken breath!

Should we teach our children so?
As on Halloween night they gladly go?
Look to the start of this Holiday
You’ll see it’s not all happy play!

Demonic stories and occultic power
Birthed “Halloween” in its early hour
The Celts, the Druids, the Romans too
Down through history tell us it’s true!

Light lives in Heaven
Darkness, in hell
Jesus gave us a
Story to tell!

He sent His Light to a darknened world
To tell of His Great Love!
That light shines in the Christian’s heart
It comes from up above.

It shines in the darkness
To show the Way
It shines in the night
It shines in the day!

So look to the light!..
Forget the candy you eat!
Jesus is waiting
He has More than a “treat”!

He sends Life Saving Grace
To your house and mine
So take off the mask
And let his light shine!

He forgives all our sins,
(All things we’ve done wrong)
He gives us new life,
Fills our mouth with a song

He lives in the light
And will take you there too!
His love conquers Fear
His Words are all True!

He’s greater than Goblins
Has more power than Ghosts!
He’s Commander in Chief
Of the Angelic Hosts!

“How do you know Him’?
You only BELIEVE!
Then, open your Heart
His Love to receive.

He’ll remove your darkness
He’ll forgive your Sin
Walk away from your Mask
And let JESUS in!

Then you’ll find Peace
In His Light you will bask!
It’s time to look up
See BEYOND the MASK!

He’ll turn on the light of Heaven
For you!
He’ll open HIS DOOR
And that Light will shine through!

He’s walked where your tired feet
Have trod
Now is the time…
Give your Mask to God!
